Installation issues with a diamond grinding wheel

A glass grinding machine is a popular piece of machine equipment in a mechanical factory. Its installation is acceptable, it meets the safety criteria, it is used correctly, and it follows safe operating practices. Because these issues are directly tied to the safety of every employee, their real application must pique our interest.

Positioning problem

Only after choosing a suitable and appropriate place can we proceed with other tasks; otherwise, the grinding wheel machine installed at the site will serve as our installation process to evaluate the problem. It is forbidden to install a grinding wheel machine next to machinery, operators, or frequently someone walking by the area. A dedicated grinding wheel chamber should be set up in a larger workshop. If the factory's terrain does not require you to set up a specific grinding wheel chamber, you should create a protective stall on the front of the grinding wheel machine that is at least 1.8 meters high and secure the file board firmly and effectively. Balance problem

The incorrect manufacturing and installation of the grinding wheel, which results in a misalignment of the wheel's center of gravity with its axis of rotation, is the primary cause of the unbalance of the glass grinding wheel. Unbalance mostly manifests as damage in two ways. On the one hand, high-speed grinding wheel rotation creates vibration, which makes it simple to create numerous angular vibration marks on the workpiece surface. On the other side, the imbalance speeds up the spindle vibration and bearing wear, which leads to the rupture. Therefore, the grinding wheel should be mounted on the chuck after the plastic repair or in the work discovered to be out of balance, and the static balance should be repeated if the vertical requirements are larger than or equal to 200mm.

Matching problem

The matching issue primarily concerns how the chuck and wheel were installed. The glass grinding wheel chuck diameter must meet the statutory requirements of being no less than one-third the diameter of the installed office, and the new glass grinding wheel should be replaced as soon as it begins to wear down to a diameter greater than that of the disk, which is 10 mm in size. By doing this, the chuck and wheel are matched; otherwise, the "Big Horse Cart" wastes resources and materials, and the "Small Horse Cart" does not adhere to safety regulations and is more likely to result in accidents.

Therefore, a grinding wheel and chuck that are appropriately matched can cut material and conserve equipment while still meeting safety operation criteria. Additionally, the diamond grinding wheel and chuck should be positioned between a cushion of 1 to 2 millimeters in thickness and a diameter that is 2 millimeters bigger than the chuck's diameter.

Protection shield

The most crucial piece of equipment for the grinder's protection is a shield. Its purpose is to properly cover glass grinding wheel debris when it is damaged while in use, protecting workers. The wheel shield has a round and square shape, and its maximum opening angle is not permitted to exceed 90 (the shield is made of steel with a minimum tensile strength of 415n/mm2). The shield should not be removed or discarded but rather mounted firmly and securely while changing the new glass grinding wheel.

The screening board

The shield is above the spindle level above the opening of 30 (when this device must be set), and the screen board is one of the key protective accessories of the glass grinding wheel machine. Its major purpose is to stop flying during the grinding process so that the operator is protected. It is fitted on the open side of the shield, should have a wider width than the wheel shield, and should be securely fastened to the shield. The spacing between the stalls and the grinding wheel's round surface should both be smaller than 6mm.

Bracket problem

One of the most usual additions to grinding wheel machines is the bracket, which must be adjusted if the glass grinding wheel diameter is greater than 150mm. The gap between the wheel and the bracket must be less than half of the workpiece's minimum form, but it must never be greater than 3mm.

Grounding problem

The grinding wheel machine uses a power line, so the equipment's outer shell needs to be well-protected against grounding. This is one of the key factors that contribute to accidents.
