For manual glass cutter, there are diamond glass cutter and alloy roller glass cutter two types. It is suitable for the glass cutting with thickness from 1mm to 8mm, is the indispensable glass cutting tools in the decoration and construction field.
To cut the float glass with thickness 2mm and 3mm. First to use the rectilinear scale to measure the glass size and mark the size on the glass which is needed, need to leave 2mm space for the cutter edge. When cutting, the glass cutter should lean against the scale tightly, to cut with balanced power, couldn’t have any heavy bending.
To cut the float glass with thickness from 4mm to 6mm. The cutting method is similar as to cut the glass with thickness 2mm and 3mm. But the glass thickness from 4mm to 6mm is a little thinker, so the power should be uniform and stable.
To cut the float glass with thickness from 5mm to 6mm and with big size. The glass with big size is hard to split, before cutting, need to put the charpie on the table, to make the glass under even pressure. After cutting, to grab the required glass size tightly and press downward. This process should take great care, otherwise the whole glass would be broken.
To cut the wired glass. As the surface of the wired glass is uneven, the cutter is easily slip and hard to control. So need to grab the cutter tightly with higher power, the cutting speed is required to be faster, to avoid the bending and curving. After cutting, to grab the required glass size tightly and press downward, the wires could be cut off by the pliers. For the patterned glass and acid etched glass, the cutting method is similar as to cut wired glass.
